At the Y, we believe EVERY kid deserves a chance!
 
The Y is the unparalleled cause for strengthening community because we are the community. Together with you, your family and your neighbors, our movement strengthens Howard County through promoting three things: youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. We’ve done it for nearly140 years already, and we’re determined to keep doing it. Deeply rooted in this community, our movement is made up of people of all ages, faiths and abilities, all working side-by-side to ensure that everyone, regardless of gender, income or background, has the opportunity to live life to its fullest. We value caring, honesty, respect and responsibility, and everything we do stems from this.
 
It is our intent that all that desire to participate have the opportunity to do so. Even if those kids, teens, seniors, and families cannot afford to do so on their own. In 2010, the Y was able to sponsor almost 1,400 of your neighbors in programs (from child care, to day camp, to swim lessons, to youth sports!) and in membership. This allowed the impact of our Y to be felt across the entire community! That is our heart.
 
If you desire to participate in Y programs or services but you are unable to to do because of finacnes, feel free to download our financial assistance application form below and complete it and bring it into the Y. Please fill ouot the form completely and provide the Y with ALL the verification documentation required. Once your application is completed, turn it in to us and we will process it with the intent of getting you on your way in the life-building services of the Y. Thank you!
