Virtual Turkey Trot 5K Run/Walk

Join in on our Virtual Turkey Trot Fun Run!
Run The Race Before You Stuff Your Face

Due to the increase of COVID-19 cases in Howard County, we have coordinated with our local Health Department to not host the race in-person and, instead, offer it virtually. We are thankful for your willingness to run the Trot on your own! Your participation supports our Annual Campaign, which in turn assists our youth in participating programs such as camp, youth sports and swim lessons. In conjunction with our local health officials, we made this decision to go virtual to help stop the spread of COVID-19 in our community and to give all participants the opportunity to run the race before they stuff their face.

Here are the details for our virtual Turkey Trot:

• Packet Pickup will be on Wednesday, November 25th from 10am - 6pm and Thursday, November 26th (Thanksgiving Day) from 7:30am - 9:30am. Packets will now include your participant medal. (Please remember to physically distance and wear your masks when picking up your packets).

• Shirts will be handed out at packet pickup to our Early Birds who registered BEFORE OR ON 11/3.

• Runners who registered on 11/4 and AFTER will be contacted to pick up their shirts TWO WEEKS AFTER virtual race.

• Pick the day you trot! Choose what day you would like to run the race from Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 26 through Sunday, Nov. 29.

Even though we will not be together this year, do not let that stop you from getting that early morning workout to jump start your day! Whether you run on a treadmill, jog around your neighborhood, or walk around the block, we also still would like to know you ran the race before stuffing your face by posting a selfie on Facebook with your bib or medal with the hashtag “#KokomoTurkeyTrot2020” and tagging the Kokomo Family YMCA. By doing this, you will be entered to win a $30 Subway gift card! Make this a family thing and have some fun!
