Youth Initiative

Youth Initiative Provides FREE Memberships to Local Underserved Kids*

*Memberships for 11 - 18 years old. 43 spots available.

Official Program Start Date: Monday, Feb. 14th

How to Sign Up

The YMCA is excited to offer free one-year memberships to qualifying area youth thanks to a grant from the FCA Foundation, the charitable arm of Stellantis. Called the Youth Initiative, the program is geared to youth who, due to financial constraints, are unable to experience all the Y has to offer, from swimming and basketball to connecting with friends after school.

Scholarship forms are available at the YMCA membership desk. A parent or guardian must be present to submit an application and you must note “Youth Initiative” on the form. Youth Initiative registration is available to the first 43 qualifying youth to apply.

New interactive technology!

We will have a Beam projection system in the Community Room with games designed to both get kids active and educate them in a fun way. Our youth members will have the opportunity to participate in custom-made games. This immersive experience will allow them to engage in active, educational play. This also brings families together, as the Beam system can be used by families of the youth members when the system is available.
