We know what it’s like to want a healthier life but not to know exactly where to start. That’s why our friendly and genuine staff is here to help - with a variety of orientations, sessions and programs geared specifically for who we call health seekers - people who just want to know how to get their family moving and little more and eating a little healthier. See some of our offerings below, and stop by the front desk to let us know how we can help you reach your goals.
Walking into the building is the hardest part. That took more guts than it ever will to get on a treadmill, but we want to make sure that you are successful and are reaching your goals. That’s why we offer free orientations to help you get comfortable with all the Y’s equipment. Stop by the front desk today and sign up for one of our free orientations with a staff member or give us a call at 765.457.4447.
Couch to 5K
If a 5K always sounded like something an athlete would do, we have news for you. You are about to become an athlete with the Y’s Couch to 5K program, a 10-week training course designed to take you from couch potato to cool runnings. Through our walk-run intervals we will take you to the finish line of a 5K — with guided runs from our trainers, personalized accountability, nutrition help and step-by-step running plans. The program is fantastic, but the community that comes with the Couch to 5K group is even better.
Cost: $35 Y members | $45 nonmembers | $5 discount if you sign up with a partner.
Training times: 6 p.m. Monday and Wednesday, and 9 a.m. Saturdays

That’s the goal of the Y’s annual Holiday Trimmings Challenge.
The average person can gain up to 5 pounds from Thankgiving to Christmas, and we want to make sure that doesn’t happen to you. To keep us all motivated and accountable, the Y designs a series of challenges to keep you on track. You can sign up and compete as an individual OR sign up with four of your friends and compete as a team.
Prizes will be awarded for:
- Biggest percentage of weight lost
- Team Weekly Challenge
- Individual Weekly Challenge
