Aquatics Center Updates
As many of you know, our pool systems have been challenging for some time now. We have been diligently working on solutions and are committed to providing you with the best facilities possible. In early 2024, our staff and board of directors decided to invest significant resources into a comprehensive overhaul of our pool systems to be implemented sometime in the Fall of this year. Our plan includes installing a new dehumidification system, resurfacing the bottom of both pools, and performing necessary maintenance such as stripping and sealing our pool deck, painting, and deep cleaning all of our locker rooms. We appreciate your patience and continued support during this time of transition. Our team is here to answer any questions you may have, and we will keep you updated on our progress.

What Work Is Happening?

Can I visit another Y?
We understand this may cause some inconvenience, but we are confident these improvements will greatly enhance your experience at our facility. In the meantime, we have contacted surrounding YMCAs, and they are happy to welcome our swimmers during our downtime.
We are glad that our surrounding YMCAs are accepting our swimmers. You can go to the following YMCAs:
- Peru Miami Co. YMCA
- Marion Grant County YMCA
- Logansport YMCA
Sauna and Steam Room?
We are working on a way to open the Steam Room and Sauna during the work, but right now they will remain closed to ensure our members’ safety.

What About Swim Lessons?
People signed up for swim lessons can either have their lessons transferred over to the October date or receive a credit to use at a later date. Our Aquatics staff have sent out emails to all parents that are listed on the accounts. They are also calling the people who have not yet reached out. Emails regarding swimming lessons can be sent to Alyssa.
