About Habits for the HOlidays

We all know the holidays are often when healthy habits slide off track and waistbands get tighter, right? Well, we have a gift that will keep on giving in a good way: Habits for the Holidays! This is the perfect time to join this FREE-TO-Y-MEMBERS program, designed to get you all the way from the candy of Halloween, past the Thanksgiving meal, and through Christmas so you’re ahead of the game with your resolutions. Not only that, but the habits are for the whole you: Spirit, Mind, and Body. Commit to maintaining your overall health goals with our Habits for the Holidays program. We promise it’s full of simple strategies that can help keep you moving in the right direction through the holidays and beyond!

Invest in yourself!

We know what we are supposed to do to take care of ourselves – eat right, get plenty of sleep, drink plenty of water and exercise. But we can put it off, especially when it comes to the holidays. But the truth is, a happier, healthier you can accomplish a lot more.

Habits for the Holidays can help you commit to your health during this busy time of year. For over a 100 years, the Kokomo Family YMCA has supported individuals and families in their quest for a healthier lifestyle. The YMCA is a place to learn skills, make friends, build self-efficacy and strengthen one’s spirit, mind and body.

Habits for the Holidays BINGO

We all know the holidays are often when healthy habits slide off track and waistbands get tighter, right? Well, we have a gift that will keep on giving in a good way: Habits for the Holidays! BINGO Cards. They are a fun way to keep you moving and staying on track with your habits. Not only that, but the habits are for the whole you: Spirit, Mind, and Body. 

CAN I DO MORE THAN one?

Yes, you can do more than one BINGO Card. Make sure when you turn them in you put your name on them. 

WHAT ARE THE CARDS FOR?

Play the BINGO Board during the Habits for the Holidays Challenge to help you work towards building your Healthy Habit and win prizes in the process!

DO I WIN ANYTHING?

There will be weekly prizes and there will also be a grand prize. Every card you turn in enters you into the drawing for the grand prize! GrandPrize drawing: $250 prepaid gift card, 1 month free to the Y, and a bag of swag!

Where do I turn cards in?

Bring your completed card(s) to the membership desk at the YMCA. Make sure you have your name and contact information on them!

How do I fill them out?

Print: Print off your board and mark it off with a pen, pencil, or marker!

Mobile/Computer: Save the BINGO Board to your phone or computer as an image (or screenshot) and use an editor app to mark off the board

What do I do after a Bingo?

BINGO is 5 in a row: Horizontally, vertically, or diagonally. Bring your completed card(s) to the membership desk at the YMCA. Please make sure you have added your name and contact info.

Welcome to the 12 Days of Fitmas! It's going to be exciting, sweaty, and tough. But nothing is merrier, jollier, or more joyful than a fitter, healthier you!

Pop-up Fitness Class

ReFit will be December 20, 2023

10:15AM - 11:15AM

Downtown Kokomo YMCA: Studio 2

Join in on this Christmas-themed Refit pop-up class on Wednesday evening at 6:30 pm. Refit, or restoration fitness, is for all fitness levels with modifications provided to ramp up the intensity or lower the intensity. You'll have a blend of cardio (dancing, drumming, or kickboxing) and choreographed light weight training to build up muscular endurance.
